Proposal for Organizing an Inter-School Higgs-Boson Physics Competition

Physics, the study of matter and energy, shapes our understanding of the universe. An inter-school physics competition can ignite students' interest in this fundamental science, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. This proposal outlines a plan for organizing such a competition, promoting scientific exploration and collaboration among young minds.

Organiser

Teachers’ Association for Animal Rights (TAFAR)(Regd.) It is a group of teachers working to sensitize school /college/university students, teachers and the common masses about Animal Rights and their Suffering. It was founded in 2017 to sensitize people towards Animal Rights. Since then, the organization has been working for these voiceless souls i.e. animals and birds.

Objectives

Spark curiosity and enthusiasm for physics: Expose students to exciting physics concepts through engaging activities and challenges.

Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills: Encourage students to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios and tackle physics-based problems.

Identify and nurture young physics talent: Provide a platform for students with exceptional physics abilities to showcase their knowledge and skills

Target Audience

This competition will target students of class 9th and 11th grade levels.

Competition Format

Theoretical: written exams(MCQs Format) testing physics knowledge and understanding.

Experimental: Hands-on activities, experiments, or project presentations demonstrating practical application of physics concepts.

Venue: SND School Auditorium, Palwal.

Evaluation and Recognition

  • A fair and transparent judging system (Well known physics professor, scientist or Engineer) with clear defined criteria for evaluating each category.
  • Recognize winners and participants with established criteria (Position/Rank up to 5 students)
  • Provide cash awards, certificates, trophy or other forms of appreciation.
  • Collect feedback from participants, judges, and organizers to improve future competitions.
